Entry into Mecca Without Permit Prohibited, Effective Tomorrow

Makkah, Saudi Arabia - In a bid to regulate access to the holy city, Public Security has announced the implementation of instructions governing entry into Makkah. Starting from tomorrow, Saturday, 5th April 2024 AD, residents seeking to enter the Holy Capital must obtain a permit from the appropriate authorities.

The instructions emphasize the necessity of having an entry permit when passing through the security control centers leading to Makkah. Individuals without the required permit will be prohibited from entering the city, as per the regulations governing this year's Hajj pilgrimage in the year 1445 AH.

The implementation of these instructions means that vehicles and residents who do not possess an entry permit issued by the competent authority for work in the holy sites, a resident ID issued by Makkah, an Umrah permit, or a Hajj permit will be turned away.

The measures have been put into effect to ensure the smooth and well-organized movement within the holy city during this sacred period. The authorities aim to maintain the safety and security of all pilgrims and residents, while also maintaining the sanctity of the holy sites.
