Riyadh: In an unprecedented collaboration, the Saudi Space Agency and the World Economic Forum have announced plans to establish the Center for Space Futures in Saudi Arabia this coming fall. This groundbreaking initiative intends to revolutionize global discussions on space collaboration and expedite the integration of best practices into the rapidly evolving space sector.

As the host of the Center for Space Futures, the Saudi Space Agency aims to foster public-private dialogues and drive technological advancements within the global space economy. By promoting sustainable practices, the center will play a vital role in accelerating space technologies, with a specific focus on climate monitoring and satellite-based connectivity enhancements.

Dr. Mohammed Altamimi, CEO of the Saudi Space Agency, expressed his commitment to cultivating a dynamic and sustainable space economy. He believes that the Center for Space Futures will be crucial in achieving this objective. Additionally, Jeremy Jurgens, Managing Director at the World Economic Forum, stressed the significance of the space industry in addressing global challenges, including climate change and technological innovation.
